Self-Care Basics Let Your Gut Guide
I've been "in a relationship" with depression/anxiety all my life. Becoming a teacher and later homeschooler didn't help. I overworked, burned the candle to nubs at both ends, worried myself sick over kids, took on way more than I should have. I don't expect to ever permanently overcome anxiety. It's part and parcel of who I am. And in some ways, it's helped me unlock my hidden talents in others areas. But I needed to find healthy coping strategies. And I know a lot of you fellow teachers do likewise. You're always "at school" and never get a break. So I urge you to read this and heed it's advice. Photo left is happier me.
